The news media didn't put Child Molestation in the title, so I did. I really believe they do that on purpose when it comes to law enforcement. And a typical short article. Why isn't he being charged with Child Molestation? That is what it was!!!

MOUNT VERNON - A former Jefferson County sheriff's deputy has been charged with sexually abusing two minor females.

Thirty-one-year-old Michael A-Walker was indicted yesterday on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and four counts of official misconduct.
- It's called CHILD MOLESTATION!

Special prosecutors say the charges involve two female victims between the ages of 13 and 17.

Jefferson County Sheriff Roger Mulch says the allegations against Walker first surfaced in late December, and the case was handed over to the Illinois State Police.

Walker was suspended with pay in January and resigned on Monday.

Officials reached this evening would not say whether he is in custody.

Walker had been with the Jefferson County sheriff's department for about six years.

He faces up to 34 years in prison if convicted.
